During 2017 the venue proudly hosted 1,716 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) events including AI, cyber security and Fintech events as well as welcomed robots, drones, astronauts and will.i.am.
Aptly named ‘Bits and Bytes’, the event showcased IET London: Savoy Place’s industry leading audio-visual capabilities including an artificial intelligence tour of the venue’s distinctive event spaces featuring in-cinema surround-sound.
On the hottest day of the year so far, guests enjoyed drinks and food in the Riverside Room, with selfie opportunities, a VR experience, mocktails and powdered G&Ts overlooking the capital from the sun-kissed Johnson Roof Terrace.
The catering team were on-hand serving vegan sushi, torched steak with British charcuterie and cheeses, and a bug bar featuring dried critters, with a choice of mealworm arancini, locust taco’s and black ant and goats cheese salad. Delicate desserts were presented at a nitro station and pudding table to round-off an enjoyable occasion for all.
