The Goring

One hundred years old this year, The Goring celebrates a century of impeccable service - London 's quintessentially English hotel. It is ideally located in London 's Belgravia , just moments from Buckingham palace. With a delightful private garden it provides a unique oasis in the heart of the city. The very last grand hotel of the Edwardian era to be built, The Goring is now the oldest, privately-owned luxury hotel in London . Each bedroom and suite reflects a very individual style with bedrooms designed by some of England 's greatest designers - Nina Campbell, Lord Linley, Tim Gosling and Russell Sage.

In the afternoon, enjoy the delightful English tradition of warm scones and clotted cream in the elegant Garden Lounge. Later, dine under the magnificent Swarovski chandeliers, which in the evening are lowered to create an intimate atmosphere in the Dining Room. Select wine from the Goring family's extensive wine cellar, where some bottles have been laid down for generations.

The Archive Room

The sumptuously refurbished Archive Room was officially re-opened in January 2008. This beautiful room can cater for 100 guests at a cocktail party and 44 guests for a seated breakfast, lunch or dinner. The room now boasts a rear wall of glass, leading to its own private sunken garden, which in turn leads to the hotels own private gardens above and beyond. The latest cutting edge technology is discreetly installed throughout making it ideal for business as well as pleasure.

The Drawing Room

"Cool, sophisticated elegance". This is what one guest called the Drawing Room. It has recently been redecorated and has a classical feel with pale coloured walls complemented by beautiful leather upholstered chairs. State of the art meeting facilities are provided in this room. A 55" plasma screen appears from behind the mirror and at a touch of a button black-out blinds close and the lighting dims for your presentation. This room also provides the perfect venue for dinners and lunches up to 12 people. All the gadgetry and wizardry utilised for meetings is completely hidden when used as a dining room.

The Breakfast Room

This is our smallest dining room and offers facilities for up to 8 people. Once again the pale sophisticated colour of the walls lead to a calm, gentle feeling of luxury. The hand-made silk curtains sweep across the large window at the end of the room and at night the candles glisten in the silver chandelier hanging above the circular mahogany table.

The Board Room

Located on the fourth floor of this hotel is our Board Room available for meetings. This room holds up to 8 people in air-conditioned comfort. Lunch or meeting buffets can be served in the room or guests can book a table in the award winning dining room should they wish to break in the middle of their meeting.

The Gardens

Here some of London 's most wonderful parties take place each year. A selection of marquee options are available depending on the type of party you wish to hold.

The Garden can cater for up to 200 seated for one of Chef Derek Quelch's cold buffets featuring the very finest of British ingredients. Or cocktail parties can be held for up to 250 people as waiters glide between the guests serving Pimms , Champagne and canapés of exceptional quality.
