Churchill War Rooms

Churchill War Rooms

On becoming Prime Minister in May 1940, Winston Churchill visited the underground War Cabinet Room and said, 'This is a room from which I will direct the war'.

Winston Churchill is recognised as one of the greatest individuals ever to walk the course of British history.  Today he is a figure admired throughout the world by statesmen and the man in the street alike.  Nowhere is the scene of his Finest Hour better illustrated and more intimately experienced than at the Cabinet War Rooms.

This preserved historic site in the heart of Westminster is where Winston Churchill and his War Cabinet led Britain and her allies to victory during the Second World War.  Comprising of the Harmsworth Room, HCA Auditorium and Switch Room, the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms is an ideal venue for conferences, dinners, receptions, press launches and seminars.

The Harmsworth Room

This space, our most popular room, is the perfect setting for small conferences, drinks receptions, dinners and lavish banquets.  Flexible state of the art lighting and AV facilities allow you to create a bespoke environment within this exciting period atmosphere.

The HCA Auditorium

Situated adjacent to the award winning Churchill Museum, this area offers all the versatility and facilities of a modern event space, but with the added excitement of its period feel, historic resonance and high tech audio-visual facilities.  The largest of the function rooms, it also offers an entertainment space for up to 250 people, in air-conditioned comfort.

The Switch Room

Re-designed and refitted, this room represents one of London’s most unique fine dining spaces.  The Switch Room is perfect for intimate evening receptions, fine dining for up to 30 guests or as a popular venue for breakfast events.

The Learning Suite

The Learning Suite is a recently refurbished area within the Churchill War Rooms.  This wonderfully intimate conferencing facility, situated right at the heart of the Museum off the Transatlantic Lobby, provides the perfect setting for smaller groups or as a syndicate/breakout space.
