'A NIGHT TO REMEMBER WITH TWC' AT THE ROYAL COURTS OF JUSTICE

Just under 500 event industry buyers and organisers descended on the magnificent Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand for 'A Night to Remember' on Tuesday, 22nd September.

The first of its kind for The Westminster Collection, this slick networking event was designed so that buyers, planners and organisers could speak to its principal Members - over 32 venues in Westminster, and a number of different Associate Member suppliers, all in one evening. Indeed with 5 caterers providing food and 2 florists providing displays it could have become very competitive. However it was a very relaxed, sophisticated evening with each caterer providing 2 samples of their food with waiting staff introducing both the canapé and the caterer to each guest and each florist standing by their exquisite creations.

René Dee, CEO of The Westminster Collection said, "This was our first networking event and our most challenging event to date, bringing together our 32 member venues together under the stunning vaulted ceiling of the Royal Courts of Justice.  We achieved what we set out to do and have strengthened greatly the awareness of TWC and all 57 of its members to the business tourism buyer and the industry at large.  It was also a superb example of how support and co-operation between our members and associates achieved an excellent result."

Indeed Dee has received a number of grateful emails from attending guests who were delighted with the event - " turned up on spec and did manage to get in without any fuss and I am really pleased I did take the risk! Such a worthwhile event and I met a multitude of very useful contacts."

The sponsors for the evening were:
Lavender Green and JW Flowers each provided stunning autumnal floral displays and the following caterers with an example of one of their canapé:
The Admirable Crichton  - The ultimate Treacle Tart with poached Kumquat, Sorrel Cress and a Yoghurt Tuile
Rhubarb Food Design - Filet steak, potato and horseradish dip
By Word of Mouth - Seared tuna on a parmesan crisp
The Moving Venue Caterers - Black bean cassoulet with white truffle foam
Lettice Party Design and Catering -“ Onion and fennel seed baby cones with beetroot and walnut, celeriac and thyme

Westminster Kingsway College provided 13 students who very effectively managed registration and the cloakroom. Seasoned Events, the venue managers for the Royal Courts provided the venue, security and drinks whilst Sternberg Clarke entertained brilliantly with Organic Jam's violinist and trumpeter drifting through the audience playing ethereal sounds, which echoed brilliantly against the high gothic ceiling. The whole venue was expertly lit by Fisher with the sound managed by Sound By Design. Options and The Event Hire Company provided the furniture, glassware and decoration. Registration was efficiently managed by Outstand.

The event was covered pictorially by Picture - U event photography, another newly appointed TWC Associate Member and everyone left with a free AquaPax carton of planet conscious mineral water. Instead of goody bags TWC arranged for a donation to be made to the Westminster Children's Society which works to provide accessible community nurseries and education for young children.
