THE GORING IN LONDON WINS HOTEL OF THE YEAR INDEPENDENT AT THE 2009 CATEY AWARDS

London, 8 July 2009: On the eve of its Centenary in 2010, The Goring was one of the big winners at last night's Cateys, picking up the Hotel of the Year - Independent award at the hospitality industry Oscars in London.

The Goring was chosen by a panel of eight judges, who praised the hotel for its superb service delivered by genuinely caring staff. Judge Gordon Cartwright of the Automobile Association said: "The Goring serves as an inspiration to those in the industry who share the belief that unswerving best practice can comfortably coexist with innovation and dynamic investment."

This is the second major award The Goring has won this year. In April it was named "Hotel of the Year" by Pride of Britain Hotels, a collection of the country's finest privately-owned hotels.

Since 1984 The Cateys have cast a spotlight on the industry's high flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands. They have become a byword for quality, class and achievement, the awards that everybody wants to win. No wonder the industry refers to them as its Oscar Night.

Trek Wireless completes major virtual tour project for Central Hall Westminster

Central Hall Westminster recently decided to update their website to include high quality full screen virtual tours of key rooms. ACE member Trek Wireless was commissioned to carry out the project and also produce still images of each room for use both on the website and in printed media.

Tim Woolford MD of Trek Wireless commented "as the venue was very busy we had a relatively small window to complete the onsite photography, this didn't pose any problems for us as we are used to working quickly while delivering high quality results"

Trek Wireless also customised the virtual tours to include links to a photo gallery of each room, floor plans and other information so that the virtual tours are fully integrated with Central Hall's existing website. This allows visitors to the Central Hall website to easily access information either from a web page or within the virtual tour itself.

Michael Sharp, Managing Director of Central Hall added "we are very pleased with the new full screen virtual tours as they let online visitors experience the venue in a realistic way and see rooms configured in a range of options as well as finding relevant room information"
