A Night to Remember With TWC

The Westminster Collection (TWC) is pleased to announce the first of its grand networking events this Autumn 7pm–9pm at the stunning Royal Courts of Justice on Tuesday, 22nd September, the eve of the Venues and Events Show.

Entitled, 'A Night to Remember With TWC' the invitation is being sent out to the events industry for them to meet up with the members of TWC, (now approaching 40 in all), and representing the very best of what Westminster has to offer the event planner and organiser.

The event is being supported by 10 of the very best event industry suppliers who have also become the most recent Associate Members of The Collection. These include Fisher Productions providing the lighting, JW Flowers and Lavender Green providing the floral decoration, Sound By Design providing sound and AV and Sternberg Clarke providing the entertainment. By Word of Mouth, Lettice, The Moving Venue Caterers, Rhubarb Food Design and The Admirable Crichton have all joined forces to provide a selection of gastronomic delights.

76 Portland Place Joins The Westminster Collection

76 Portland Place, home to the Institute of Physics and situated at the same address, has built an enviable reputation as an appealing and flexible contemporary venue for Westminster's business community around it. One Queen Anne's Gate

One Queen Anne's Gate, the conference facility located by St James's Park, recently had a grading visit from Green Tourism for London (GTL) with award due for presentation in August.

After the Green Tourism Business Scheme accreditation grading summary visit in April, GTL commented on "an excellent policy and sustainability report with some very good positive actions will help the site achieve a good pass at Bronze"

Venue and Marketing Director Adele Summers explains "corporate social responsibility has always been an important part of the One Queen Anne's Gate experience, from Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance refreshments, to recycled flipchart paper or even taking notes at a meeting with one of our pencils produced from recycled newspapers we have always believed in offering clients a 'greener meeting option.' We are all encouraged by the GTL comments in April and are looking forward to the continuing implementation of key green actions and our Fairtrade sugar sticks are crossed for grading results in August!"

The QEIICC hosts the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing 8th International Conference

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London's most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, is hosting the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA) 8th International Conference from 19th to 22nd July 2009. 

The conference programme offers three days of education and networking opportunities that will bring the conference theme – Leadership Beyond Borders – alive.  Each day delegates can choose from a wide array of educational sessions that will expose them to international perspectives on common challenges and opportunities in the ageing services sector.

In line with The QEIICC's own green policy, IAHSA is working towards a more environmentally friendly conference.  To help reduce waste, presenters will not provide attendees with handouts.  Instead presentations and session materials are available on their website and attendees can download files and print them as needed.
