The Westminster Collection is pleased to welcome two new members, 1 Drummond Gate and The Law Society to its ever increasing portfolio.
1 Drummond Gate is a brand new venue for etc.venues and will be their ninth venue in Central London following their recent opening in Paddington. The venue will have 11 high specification naturally lit rooms with a large private garden courtyard. Situated in a prominent building on the junction of Drummond Gate and Vauxhall Bridge Road, the venue is adjacent to Pimlico underground station and a short walk from Victoria and Westminster stations.
Alastair Stewart, managing director of etc.venues says: "We are delighted to be joining The Westminster Collection which impressively showcases the leading venues in the area. We think there is an opportunity to bring our entrepreneurial skills to the opening of a more contemporary venue that specialises in hosting training events. We are excited to be venturing into a new part of London where we know the public sector is looking for greater value in their choice of venue. 1 Drummond Gate's courtyard garden has already generated a lot of interest and will supplement all of the etc.venues design hallmarks of natural light, bright colours, high quality technology and fresh food prepared by our own chefs in our own on site kitchens.”
The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, Government and others, to offering training and advice, the Law Society helps protect and promote solicitors across England and Wales. Located in Chancery Lane, within close proximity of Kings College London, it is just a five minute walk to Chancery Lane underground and a 10 minute walk to Holborn underground station.
Rodney Hillis, sales manager, venue hire & hospitality at The Law Society says: "If you are looking for flexible event space, The Law Society's Grade II listed building will exceed your expectations. The eleven spacious function rooms are individually styled to accommodate from 2 - 280 guests, situated in the heart of the Law district - Chancery Lane. Ampersand, our on-site exclusive caterers source the best ingredients our chefs provide themselves in creating exceptional food, tailored to our client’s needs. We value how to mix the contemporary with the traditional to create gorgeous and exciting menus."
René Dee, chief executive of The Westminster Collection comments: "I am really pleased to welcome both 1 Drummond Gate and the London branch of the Law Society to the Collection. It is very rewarding that we are attracting such a wide variety of quality venues across the City of Westminster and that they recognise the value we offer in support of their own marketing activity. Our ability to offer the very best 'one-stop-shop' venue service in the City of Westminster is now well known by buyers. I am convinced that both venues will gain considerable interest from event planners, both in the UK and worldwide.”
The Westminster Collection will continue developing its business tourism offer across the City of Westminster, with more iconic and captivating venues due to join during the remaining period of 2011.
