Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Joins The Westminster Collection

26/01/2009

Victoria Gordon-Ingram, RIBA Venues Manager, commented, " As befits the headquarters of the British architectural profession, 66 Portland Place is a showpiece of design and craftsmanship.  Events held here gain prestige and impact from the surroundings, which are as impressive today as they were when the building was first designed in the early 1930's. We are delighted to be joining The Westminster Collection at this time.  We look forward to working alongside our fellow TWC venue, hotel and supplier members who, between them, clearly illustrate Westminster's dominant position as the leading location for events in London."

René Dee, CEO of The Westminster Collection said, " I am delighted to welcome RIBA into our membership, on behalf of our members.  Their position as a versatile and architecturally stunning venue in the heart of Westminster, has long been recognised by the discerning business community they serve in that area, just five minutes from Oxford Circus.  They will certainly help enhance our position as the leading, and ever-growing, business tourism marketing collective representing the very best of what Westminster can offer the event organiser, planner, and buyer of such facilities.  Event planners, organisers and buyers will be able to meet them at our 5th Annual SHOWCASE being held at Central Hall Westminster between 4.30pm-7.30pm on Thursday, 5th February 2009".
